Rough start to the year, sitting now at 0 - 2, losses to SFA and Incarnate Word...OK State today, could be 0 - 3, a win would be nice over Big 12 opponent.

Re: Baseball 2014

Not quite what I was getting at but...1990 was the first year that UTA made an NCAA, despite the 0-4 start. UTA was quite often a runner-up to Lamar in the SLC race and that year, they were in the American South Conference and UTA finally got over the hump in conference play. That said, I just have a hard time believing it will happen this year.

UTA gets first baseball win of the season! http://www.star-telegram.com/2014/02/22/5591166/19-innings-ut-arlington-goes-long.html

[quote]From online reports

LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana — UT Arlington set school records and tied an NCAA mark Friday night in beating McNeese State 9-8 in 19 innings.

Lots of records were set. It sounds like an amazing game. For example:
*Derek Miller was hit by pitch four times.
*Justin Copeland had 10 at bats, tying the NCAA record.
*UTA had 9 doubles, including four by Matt Shortall.
*There were a total of 144 at bats.
*Chase Weaver, who got the win, pitched 7 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Can you imagine being out after midnight in Lake Chuck???
