So our own Paul McConnell wins the tournament with the lowest score, and player of the year goes to a freshman from San Jose State who finished in a tie for 14th. Can anyone explain that? He also won freshman of the year and shot 10 over par. How does that warrant player of the year over a guy who shot 2 over?
Maybe he was great all year, and chocked a little, but in the end, the conference tourney is the one that matters.
