The Shorthorn is not what it used to be. I looked at a story there last week about how the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency was going to strip Neil Armstrong of his titles. (Wow. Can they do that?)

Hopefully, by this time they have revised the story to change the cyclist's name to "Lance."

Re: Is The Shorthorn really that bad?

That Giants thing is interesting. I think their official name is "The New York Football Giants," and occasionally you'll hear them referred to as such.

Similarly, when the NFL Cardinals were in St. Louis, they were called "the St. Louis football Cardinals."

I could not find an appropriate place to ask this question: Is anybody going to buy the official UTA license plate? I would do it except for the color orange.

Re: Is The Shorthorn really that bad?

I tried to upgrade the sports section of the Shorthorn in 2010, but never got re-hired in 2011, I had to pull my grades up. The problem with the Shorthorn is the sports writers are lazy. They don't fact check anything.

You have me intrigued, but that's right on the heels of when I left.
